Ticket Sales
I have had reports that ticlets sales this year are going well, we will continue to stock well early season to provide the best fishing possible.
Club Competition
The anual club competition will take place on 11th April 2010 between 09:00 – 13:00 to select the team for the inter club competition, any member is welcome to enter.
Inter Club Dates:
All 09:00 – 13:00
Maerdy – 25th April
Llyn – 2nd May
Nant Moel – 9th May
Timber Theft
It is sad to report that a club member has stolen a large amount of timber from within the ‘locked’ cabin! This timber was to construct new disabled angling platforms. If any member has any information regarding this theft then please contact the association, any information received will be totally confidentially.
Nant Moel is fishing well with anglers catching fish all over, most popular flies have been the booby, black fritz tadpole, olive fritz and small black nomads. Fish are coming up in the water now due to the slight rise in temperature and the fact that they are competing for food.
We have stocked this reservoir now with 600 (300 x 2) quality rainbow trout in the past 6 weeks.
Fishing well, loads of Carp around, Make sure you hold on to your rod!! Caught 14 fish on the dry off the 1st Pontoon. Some monster Trout in there I landed a 5lb 3oz on the dry! Took me down to the backing!
